Dear Sue Fletcher

I write to formally object to the fifth application by Tesco to build a shop on the Unthank Road.

I live/ shop in the area, and feel this is not an appropriate place for such a store for the following reasons:

- Unthank road is already a very busy road - I would be very concerned about the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and other road users around the delivery lorries I understand Tesco would be using

- It would have a detrimental affect on other existing retailers in the area which are largely independent

- It would increase the problem of parking, as some shoppers will attempt to park in the Trinity Street/Cambridge St./Essex St area, where parking is by 24 hour residents permit only and Tesco's desire to remove some of the parking bay near the Lily Langtry pub would make parking problems even worse.

I hope that the planning committee when they consider this proposed development, will take into account the feelings of this neighbourhood on the subject.

Yours sincerely
